This website has been established and is managed on a voluntary basis by Dr. Miriam Delahunt BL. Miriam is a criminal barrister who completed her PhD in the area of support measures for children. Her research has now expanded to that of vulnerable victims, witnesses and defendants. The legislation and procedural rules are changing consistently in these areas. The aim of this website is to collect, in one place, any relevant information in relation to vulnerable victims, witnesses and defendants in the criminal courts. However, it is an ongoing work-in-progress as new amendments, new procedures and new cases are created. If the website information is out of date, incorrect or missing, which will happen, please contact  info@vulnerablewitness.com

The information on the website can not be a substitute for professional legal advice. While it may be useful for legal practitioners, it is hoped that it will be helpful for anyone who has dealings in this area in criminal proceedings.
