Hello from Miriam Delahunt
After qualifiying as a barrister, I began a Masters and then a PhD in the Law School in Trinity College Dublin focusing on children in criminal proceedings. This research has widened out more generally to vulnerable witnesses and defendants.
Along the way, I have taught in Trinity and Lawschool.ie and published a number of articles and also a book published by Clarus Press in 2024. I've also given various guest lectures at a number of conferences.
While a practising barrister, mainly working in criminal law, I also do some some civil work and since 2025, I've been a part-time Tribunal Member with the International Protection Appeals Tribunal.
This website is managed voluntarily by myself with very welcome contributions from Aoife Doheny.
Please feel free to contact me at any with any thoughts, suggestions or comments.
